To be held at
Wright State University
Dayton, Ohio

On September 28, 2001, Wright State University will host a symposium entitled "FOLLOWING THE FOOTSTEPS OF THE WRIGHT BROTHERS: THEIR SITES AND STORIES." Wright State University is the home of one of the largest collections of Wright brothers papers and memorabilia in the world, and is gearing up to play a central role in the upcoming Centennial of Flight.

This symposium will bring together scholars, students of all ages, enthusiasts, historians and educators to discuss their research and share their insights into the lives and careers of Wilbur and Orville Wright and the invention of powered flight through their sites and stories. The papers to be presented will focus on sites critical to the accomplishments of Wilbur and Orville Wright. Examples include: Huffman Prairie Flying Field, Dayton, Ohio; Pau, France; Fort Myer, Virginia; and College Park, Maryland.

We will announce the papers to be presented and planned activities when Wright State makes the list available.
