efore I write a single word for this web page, I want to say just how much I appreciate the time and effort you Flight Crew members have donated to make this unique program a success. Orville thanks you, Wilbur thanks you, I thank you, and I sincerely hope that the young people who see the Birth of Aviation Pavilion and are inspired by it will be as grateful to you as we are. -- Nick

On to business: This page is to help coordinate the efforts of the volunteers and your supervisors who staff the BOA Pavilion. We will post pertinent information here as we get it. We suggest you check it from time to time as July 16 looms. Check it at least once before you come the Dayton Air Show.

You can get your "Fun Facts" here, too, although I would much rather call them  "The Wright Facts."  I don't know why, but the Wright brothers just don't seem like "Fun Facts" kind of guys.  Marion disagrees, and a difference of opinion always makes a good horse race. Whatever you want to call them, you can read them by clicking HERE or just click the "Next" button on the navigation bar.

Announcements:

  • Remember, you MUST attend an orientation/training session to serve as part of our flight crew. The next (and last) orientation session is at 12:00 PM Sunday, July 13, 2003, at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery.
  • The Engineers Club on Monument Avenue (right across from Riverscape) will show the new documentary Kitty Hawk at 7:00 PM, July 13, 2003, in the upstairs auditorium. We have arranged this special premiere just for you. Not only is the film entertaining and exciting, it's packed with Wright facts. It's the best was we know to refresh your memory concerning the Wright story and fill in some of the parts you may have missed.

Thank you! From all of us!

Catch the Dayton premiere of Kitty Hawk at the Engineers Club at 7:00 PM on July 13 --  It's FREE!
